1. Maintenance requirements
①Environment
What is important in maintaining stone mountain carving is the environment, which must be kept dry and free of dust and air pollutants. The greenhouse temperature is controlled at 18℃-24℃ and the humidity is 40%-50%.
②Defense
When we maintain stone mountain carving, we must learn to defend against some harmful chemicals from the outside world, such as acids, chlorides, etc.! That is, when moving stone mountain carving, the porters must wear cotton instead of gloves to move. The reason why people are not allowed to touch the stone sculpture directly is to prevent the sweat from their hands from corroding it.
③Cleaning
Be careful when cleaning stone mountain carving. Wipe away dust with a clean, soft cloth. For some places where the grooves of stone sculpture are difficult to wipe with a cloth, use a brush or vacuum cleaner to blow away the dust.
④Polishing
For stone mountain carving that have been left for a long time and appear dull, do not wipe them vigorously with a cloth, but gently wipe them with a cotton muslin cloth to achieve a polishing effect. This will also make the protective wax layer on the surface of the stone mountain carving shine again. It would be better to add some special polishing materials, but all materials need to be purchased to restore their unique colors.
2. Overview of acceptance criteria
①Material identification
Depending on the requirements, determine whether it is bronze, copper or brass. Otherwise, if the material is a substitute, it cannot be called stone mountain carving.
②Process appraisal
The shape does not deform, the wall thickness is moderate and uniform; there are no blisters, pores or other marks; it has anti-rust passivation treatment. If coloring is required, it should also meet the design requirements.
3. Detailed technical requirements
①The chemical composition of stone mountain carving should comply with the regulations of GB 1176.
②The mechanical properties of castings should comply with the requirements of GB 1176.
③Whether the size and weight of the stone mountain carving meet the design requirements.
④The shape and size of stone mountain carving should comply with the design requirements of stone sculpture, and the dimensional tolerances should comply with the requirements of GB 6414. If there are special requirements, they should be noted in the
stone carving design drawings. The dimensional tolerance of copper sculptures does not include the increase or decrease in size caused by draft slope. If there are any special requirements, they must be agreed upon by both parties.
⑤The weight tolerance of stone mountain carving can refer to GB/T 11351.
⑥The surface quality of stone mountain carving and the surface roughness of castings should comply with the requirements of the
Stone Carving design drawings.
⑦Pouring risers, burrs, flash, etc. The non-processed surface of stone mountain carving should be cleaned to be flush with the casting surface, and the allowable residual height of the processed surface should comply with regulations.
⑧Cracks, cold insulation and penetration defects are not allowed on the stone mountain carving surface, unless the agreement requires special texture.
